We're thrilled to welcome Angel and Lucy to the Tourism Langley visitor services team. With the summer season in full swing, we’ve already attended Canada Day celebrations and brought "Roland" (our Boler Trailer) to Aldergrove Fair Days and the Fort Langley Jazz & Arts Festival. We will proudly continue connecting with the community at more events in the coming months. We’ve also added an interactive "Spin the Wheel" game at our Tourism Langley booth to drive traffic and award fun prizes, so be sure to stop by if you're at any of the events. RECAP OF LOCAL INITIATIVES
In June, we supported two amazing local happenings. The Fraser Valley Wine Passport brought together 18 wineries across three different communities and received great feedback for its value over the six week period. At the Langley Poker Run, participants visited 4 local spots, collected cards for their poker hand, and enjoyed a day of fun and good company. |

FRASER VALLEY VISITOR MAP
We advertised through Landmark Maps to showcase Langley on its Fraser Valley Visitor Map, which highlights key attractions in the region. Distributed throughout the province in malls, BC Ferries, airports, and other high-traffic locations, the map features a QR code that directs users to our website. This not only drives traffic and boosts visibility for listed events and businesses but also informs new visitors about what they can experience in our community. Explore the map HERE.

BC FOOD AND WINE RADIO
Our Executive Director, Erinn Kredba was a guest on BC Food and Wine Radio, where she highlighted the diverse range of events and attractions in the Township. | BC WINE GROWERS ASSOCIATION
Erinn was also recently invited to join the BC Wine Tourism Committee, and our Fraser Valley marketing co-op group was featured in the "Sip, Smile & Stay Awhile" campaign. This initiative aims to increase winery visits from May to August while addressing misconceptions about inventory and tourism challenges through the region. Learn more HERE.

RIBFEST LANGLEY
Admission is free with a donation to this event, taking place August 16 to 18 at McLeod Athletic Park. Every dollar raised is reinvested into local charities and service projects. The event features more than just ribs. Enjoy live entertainment, a kid's zone, a variety of BBQ and other food options.

VALLEY WEST STAMPEDE
The Valley West Stampede, held on the Langley Riders Society grounds over the Labour Day long weekend, offers a wide range of activities, including rodeo-style events, live music, special shows, crafters, and food trucks, with accessible facilities available. Please note: pets are not allowed on-site.

The Canadian Red Cross is offering free N95 respirator masks to organizations across Canada to help combat wildfire smoke impacts, with distribution on a first-come, first-served basis until September 2024.
