Destinations International CEO Summit in Boston
Erinn attended the Destinations International CEO Summit in Boston, where she gained valuable insights into key industry issues that will influence our future strategies. The summit featured thought leaders and innovators from inside and outside the industry, offering practical takeaways to improve our destination’s offerings and strengthen our team’s capabilities.

Sports Injury Month: Teams Huddle
Our team joined the Sports Injury Month Teams Huddle with the Langley Rivermen, Rams, Thunder, Vancouver Giants, Vancouver Bandits, Vancouver Football Club, and Thunderbird Show Park. This initiative aimed to boost fan attendance at local games and support fundraising for the Langley Community Health & Hospital Foundation.

Rainforest to Rockies "Spark" Program
Congratulations to Lise Hines from Chew On This Tasty Tours for being one of 12 winning applications in the 2024 Rainforest to Rockies “Spark” Program. This initiative, a collaboration between Destination BC, the Tourism Innovation Lab, and regional tourism associations, aims to improve the road-trip experience along BC's Rainforest to Rockies corridors. Lise's success highlights Langley's entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to creating innovative tourism experiences that resonate with visitors and boost our destination's appeal.

May Long Weekend Recap
The May Long Weekend was a huge success, with events like Brewhalla, the Fort Langley May Day Parade, Langley Craft Beverage Week, and Spirits in the Park drawing enthusiastic crowds and celebrating community spirit. We partnered with these events to boost their visibility through our social media channels and cooperative marketing programs. Our efforts helped showcase Langley's vibrant community and attract visitors to join in the festivities.

2024 State of the Township
Our team attended the 2024 State of the Township, where Mayor Woodward provided an update 18 months into his term. The Mayor highlighted key achievements, addressed ongoing challenges, and outlined the Township's growth plans. Attendees learned about future development, policy directions, progress on capital projects, and the Mayor’s vision for the Township's future.

Township of Langley Transportation and Mobility Strategy - Equity and Accessibility Roundtable Meeting
We participated in the Township of Langley's Transportation and Mobility Strategy (TMS) - Equity and Accessibility Roundtable Meeting, where we discussed ways to improve transportation access and inclusivity in our community. The Township is updating its 2009 Master Transportation Plan to create a comprehensive guide that includes walking, cycling, micro-mobility, transit, and driving. This new strategy will address the arrival of SkyTrain and Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) to ensure our transportation infrastructure keeps up with community growth.

BCIT Internship and Business Consulting Project
We are very grateful for the hard work and dedication of the BCIT students from the Tourism Marketing Management program. One student completed an internship with us, while another group conducted a business consulting project. Their efforts have provided valuable insights and innovative ideas, giving us useful suggestions for our upcoming projects. 

BC Food and Wine Radio Segment
We're excited to announce our upcoming feature on BC Food and Wine Radio, scheduled to air Canada Day Long weekend. This segment will highlight Langley’s vibrant events, unique attractions, and thriving culinary scene, giving listeners a taste of what makes our community special. Tune in to discover the exciting happenings in Langley and be inspired to explore everything our beautiful region has to offer.

Fraser Valley Economic Summit
Erinn attended the Fraser Valley Economic Summit where the networking event was sponsored by The Fraser Valley group, which facilitated valuable connections and provided deep insights into regional economic opportunities. Engaging with industry leaders and peers at this event will undoubtedly help us develop new strategies to support and enhance Langley's economic growth.
